Brampton Rugby Club marked its almost fifty years of existence with an inaugural Hall of Fame Reception on Friday evening, 2nd March 2007. With close to 100 Club players, builders and guests at the event, the evening was a resounding success and a platform for future events.
The Brampton's Beavers 1st XV move on to the quarter-final round of the McCormick Cup after a 65 - 3 demolition of Barrhaven Scottish in Ottawa last weekend.
Despite a number of injuries and unavailable players, Brampton RFC has a deep squad that is able to field three class teams for the Cup matches which begin this weekend.
Brampton - The home team took another major step in their quest for a top four place in the Ontario Premier League, with a win over the powerful Irish Canadians. All three senior teams recorded victories on Saturday at the Brampton Rugby Ground.
The Beavers continue to challenge the top teams in the Marshall Premier Division and came very close to beating the league leaders at Fletchers fields on Saturday.
This was one of the most exciting Ontario Premier League games of the season. During the course of the game a total of 73 points were accumulated and many excellent tries were scored.
On Sunday 13th August, the Barrhaven Scottish made the long trek down from the Nation's capital to take on their Brampton Beavers counterparts, and at the Under 16 level, the match was a hard-fought enjoyable contest which Brampton might have won on the last play of the game.
Brampton Senior men's winning streak came to an end in a torrid game against the powerful BalmyBeach club in Brampton on Saturday July 29. The visitors survived a late onslaught by the Beavers and just held out for a six point winning margin.
