Brampton - Beat the recession and stay healthy!  A new running series will take place weeknight evenings in parks across the GTA from May through September. Monday night races will be in the west-end, Tuesday night races in Mississauga and Brampton and Wednesday nights in Toronto.

Brampton - On Tuesday, March 3 at 9:30am, the Brampton Ball Hockey Club and Ball Hockey Ontario are hosting the first ever Ball Hockey Super Skills Challenge Championship. Over 15 schools from the Brampton region will be competing in the day at our brand new facility located outside the Powerade centre.

Ontario - Congratulations to the team Ontario boys' team for winning gold at the U15 midget national championships held in British Columbia from August 5-9, 2008.  The boys met British Columbia in the finals and won, 102-48.

Kazan, Russia – For the first time since 2005, Canada will play for gold at the IIHF World Under-18 Championship.  Taylor Hall (Windsor OHL) scored twice, both on the powerplay and Matt Duchene (Brampton OHL) scored Canada's other goal.  Captain Cody Hodgson (Brampton OHL) and Jordan Eberle (Regina WHL) added two assists apiece.

Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Kody Musselman of the Brampton Battalion is suspended for one game, Game 2, of their East Conference quarter-final series as a result of a game misconduct for checking from behind in Thursday night's game against the Barrie Colts.
