The Green Party of Ontario Bramalea-Gore-Malton Constituency Association is pleased to announce that Bruce Haines is their chosen candidate for the upcoming provincial election. Bruce and his family are residents of the riding. Bruce has a long record of service to the community in both the public and private sectors, as well as through volunteer work. He is a former Toronto police officer, a business person with over one hundred employees, and community activist. In 2006 he was the campaign manager in Vicky Dhillon's successful bid to become the City Councillor for Wards 9 and 10 in Brampton. In the environmental sphere he is chairperson of Greenvisions, Citizens for Brampton Conservation, and was one of its founders. He also serves on the Etobicoke-Mimico Watershed Committee under the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority, is an active member of the Sierra Club (Peel Chapter), and is on the management committee of the Knights Table, a soup kitchen and food bank.
