Brampton - Dwayne Robert Palmer, a 28 year old male from Brampton, has been charged with two counts of second degree murder for the double stabbing at a Brampton mall last week that claimed the lives of Nazifa and Rahimullah Shahghasy.
Peel - The 2008 Spring Seatbelt Campaign took place from April 16 through April 27. During this years Spring campaign, officers issued a total of 2539 offence notices. The number of tickets issued this year is slightly higher than the five year campaign average of 2390.
Brampton - The Regional Municipality of Peel Police Services Board recognized the outstanding efforts of 23 civilians and 25 employees of the Peel Regional Police Service on Thursday, May 1, 2008 atthe annual Police Services Board Awards Ceremony.
Brampton - Peel Police are investigating a double homicide that occurred on April 30, 2008 at a strip mall in Brampton. Nazifa Shahghasy, a 52 year old woman from Brampton, and Rahimullah Shahghasy, her 53 year old husband, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Peel - On Sunday, April 27, 2008, Randy Gumbley, age 41 of Mississauga, was arrested in Brampton in connection to an internet fraud involving a fictitious hockey league and school.
