Brampton - The Mississauga Steelheads visit the Powerade Centre Thursday for a 7 p.m. start and admission is only $10. Steelhead staff members will be located in the main concourse distributing 2-for-1 ticket coupons to the Battalion’s visit to the Hershey Centre on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Brampton - The Troops will play two home exhibition games at the Powerade Centre, the first on Labour Day Monday at 2 p.m. when the Kitchener Rangers are the visitors, and the second on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. when the Battalion hosts the Guelph Storm.

Right winger Tanski had just played his final Ontario Hockey League game, a 4-1 loss to the Niagara IceDogs last Thursday night that gave Niagara a four-game sweep of an Eastern Conference quarterfinal.

Brampton - Sam Carrick figured he’d played his last Ontario Hockey League game against older brother Jake.  Sam, an 18-year-old centre in his third season with the Brampton Battalion, last squared off against Jake, an overage right winger then playing for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, on Oct. 14 when the Troops won 5-1 at home. Jake was scratched in the rematch, at Sault Ste. Marie on Nov. 19, when the Greyhounds won 3-2 via shootout to complete the teams’ two-game season series.
