Brampton - Brampton's Dame are proud and ecstatically happy to announce that the 4th Annual Toronto Independent Music Awards, held at The Phoenix, rendered them victorious in the Best Alternative Rock category and dominated the field for Best Song, taking first place in a tie for both of their songs, "Cyclops" and "Intervention".
The only multi-category winner of the 2007 Indie IN-TUNE Publisher's Choice Awards is a very unique and incredibly talented band from Brampton. They have taken the Best All Female Act, Best Rock Act and Most Likely to Succeed categories. This band is the all female act known as DAME.
Mississauga - Anyone familiar with the Canadian rock scene can tell you that there hasn't been a lot of noise coming from the small Mississauga suburban community of Applewood. But now that ska-punk band KEEPIN' 6 are exploding out of Applewood and the Southern Ontario punk scene, that's all about to change!
Brampton - Inviting all musicians to Wednesday Night Jam Night in Brampton starting Wednesday, May 30 at 9pm and every Wednesday night after that. A support band will provide the drum kit, amps and backup if necessary. Jam with old friends and make new ones.
Brampton – On Saturday, January 27 Brampton turns Fab with the first Indie Bands Beatles Tribute Show. Six local bands are on the bill and all will showcase some of their favorite Beatles songs as originally performed. This family friendly show will be legendary!
Brampton - Dame Entertainment offers up another incredible show on Saturday, February 17 featuring DAME, Brampton's own all-girl rock sensation, and other local and upcoming bands including Dali Circus.
Brampton - Come party with DAME at their showcase this Saturday, January 13. Recordings produced by Juno Award Winner, Haydain Neale of Jacksoul fame. This is an all ages event.
Brampton - MTV Live is filming a four part documentary on Brampton's own all-girl rock sensation DAME. Their December 2nd live performance will be caught on film and you're invited to the show.
