The Brampton's Beavers 1st XV move on to the quarter-final round of the McCormick Cup after a 65 - 3 demolition of Barrhaven Scottish in Ottawa last weekend. There were few real surprises in the opening round of the 2006 Cup.
All of the higher ranked teams came through successfully. As a result, the quarter-final round is set for October 14th - though the state of Rugby's insurance policy may still be a problem as current liability coverage will lapse this Sunday 8th October 2006.
