Feel the Rhythm at Brampton Dance Open Houses

BRAMPTON - Children of all ages are invited to grab their dancing shoes and visit two dance open houses to see the great programs being offered by the City of Brampton.

Free mini-sessions will be offered in a variety of dance styles including jazz, acrobatics and hip-hop. Children and parents will get a chance to meet the instructors and find out what discipline is right for them.

Sessions will take place at the following locations and times:

Sunday, Aug. 27 – Chinguacousy Wellness Centre, 995 Peter Robertson Blvd. (10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

·  10:30 to 10:45 a.m.- Jazz (Ages 5-10)

·  11:00 to 11:15 a.m.- Tap (Ages 5-10)

·  11:30 to 11:45 a.m.- Acrobatics (Ages 5-10)

·  12:00 to 12:15 p.m.- Ballet (Ages 5-10)

·  12:30 to 12:45 p.m.- Jr. Dance (Ages 4-5)

·  1:00 to 1:15 p.m.- Hip Hop (Ages 9 and up)

·  1:30 to 1: 45 p.m.– Jr/Sr. Kinderdance (Ages 3-5)

Wednesday Sept. 13 – Chris Gibson Recreation Centre, 125 McLaughlin Rd. (6 to 8 p.m.)

·  6:00 to 6: 30 p.m. – Dance and Twirl (Ages 5-10)

·  6:15 to 6:30 p.m.- Jr.Dance/Kinderdance (Ages 3-5)

·  6:45 to 7:00 p.m. - Jazz (Ages 5-10)

·  7:15 to 7:30 p.m.- Ballet (Ages 5-10)

·  7:45 to 8:00 p.m. Hip Hop (Ages 9 and up)

In addition to registration for all dance programs, the event will also feature vendors to sell dancewear at 15 per cent off and a used shoe sale.

The City of Brampton offers more than 200 dance classes a week at various locations. Classes are offered for all skill levels in both recital and non-recital programs. For more information on the open houses or the City's dance programs, please call 905-874-2387.
