Brampton - Allow your children's imaginations to run wild this winter at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA). PAMA offers new, fun and educational programs and activities to keep the kids engaged during the chilly winter months.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Family Day at PAMA

Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Free admission 

Spend a fun-filled Family Day at PAMA! Bring the whole family to take part in our free museum activities, art workshops and exhibitions.

- Curate Your Own Exhibition: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

- Superhero 'Selfies': 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

- Full-Grown, Full-Blown Superheroes: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

- Instructor Led Drop-In Family Activities: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

- The World of Comics and Superheroes – Workshop: 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

- True Patriot Book Signing: 12:30 – 1:15 p.m.

- Drop-In Interactive Henna Demonstrations: 1 – 3 p.m.

- Jay Stevens Avro Arrow Discussion: 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Break Out! P.A. Day – Passport PAMA Workshop

Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Fee Per Session: $35 (Non-members); $29.75 (Members)

With a PAMA Passport, kids can go anywhere their imaginations will take them. As your child travels through PAMA's innovative museum and gallery exhibitions, they will experience the past, present and future. Discovering Peel Region's past or inspecting a contemporary painting is only the beginning. Children will make their own passports with their portraits and use them to discover our spaces, completing art activities, and exhibition-related games along the way!

Kids Art and Book Club – Partnership with the Brampton Library

Jan. 23, Feb. 27, March 27 and April 24 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Join Brampton Library and PAMA for a free, fun program where you will show off your artistic and literary talents. Talk about some of your favourite books, create your own art masterpiece and more! Register in advance by calling the Brampton Library at 905-793-4636. 

Kids Sampler Workshop

March 1 – April 5 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  (Excluding March 15 due to March Break)

Fee Per Session: $70 (Non-members); $59.50 (Members)

For children ages 6 – 8 and 9 – 12

Children will get the best of both worlds: art and history. Drawing, painting, clay, toy making and innovative inventions! Each week children will create an innovative and inspired piece. Allow your kids to explore, connect and create in a fun and educational setting.

Break Out! P.A. Day – Fine Art of Storytelling

March 7 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Fee Per Session: $35 (Non-members); $29.75 (Members)

From its earliest form as an oral tradition to what it is today, children will discuss how stories are told and will create stories of their own. The art of storytelling comes alive at PAMA as children discover their own narratives.

Adults: $4.50; Seniors (60+): $3.50; Students (with valid student card): $3.50; Families (up to 2 adults and up to 5 children/students): $10; Children (ages 0 – 5): Free; PAMA Members: Free

Drop-In Family Activities

Jan. – April from 1 – 5 p.m.

Drop-in weekend afternoons for fun family activities inspired by our exhibitions. These activities are fun for all ages – families can make and take home creative projects and inspired art.

March Break at PAMA

March 10 – 14 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
