Brampton - This year’s Brampton Fair will be buzzing with talent.  The Fair’s first ever talent contest will be held on September 15, 2013 during the 2013 Brampton Fair.

Sponsored by the Region of Peel Agricultural Society and The Dusk Team, the contest is open to amateurs only.  “This gives amateurs, such as dancers, singers, musicians, comedians, even jugglers a chance to showcase their talent,” said Bonnie Neely of The Dusk Team.

The judging will be based on audience appeal, natural ability, stage presence, and quality of performance. The top ten finalists will compete in a round two competition at a later date.  Tickets for round two will be available for purchase at the Fall Fair, Sept. 12, 13, 14 and 15, 2013.

Matt Dusk, the Canadian Jazz Crooner, who is gaining worldwide recognition, will be a guest judge and the winner will perform with Dusk on top of winning $1,000.00.

Registration is free, but entries are limited and participants must be registered before September 12, 2013.

Although any one can enter, Brampton has been lucky with talent and with Brampton talent such as comedian, Russell Peters; singer, WondaGurl - Ebony Oshunrinde; and basketball talent Anthony Bennett, to name a few, there are sure to be many more that need only a chance to show what they can do; and perhaps this will help them move from amateur to professional. All in all it should be great fun.
