With spring less than a month away, the “Seedy Saturday and Garden Show” event on March 9 will offer advice to gardeners and green thumbs.

Several presentations will be held throughout the day:
• “Starting Seeds” with Dianne Pooke of Master Gardeners
• “Fusion Landscaping” with Gino Piscelli, Region of Peel
• “Native Plant Gardening” with Melanie Kramer, Credit Valley Conservation
• “Seed Saving Basics” with Kate Green of USC

Admission is free, and the first 100 visitors will receive a free plant. A children’s activity area, giveaways, a seed exchange and a Seedy Café are also featured.

Presented by the City of Brampton and the Brampton Horticultural Society, the event is associated with Seeds of Diversity (www.seeds.ca), a Canadian volunteer organization that conserves the biodiversity and traditional knowledge of food crops and garden plants.
