Brampton - Brampton City Council ratified the decision to move forward with arrangements to bring a Central Hockey League team to Brampton. This was following a unanimous vote at last week’s Committee of Council meeting that will see a Tier 2 Professional Hockey Team begin playing at the Powerade Centre later this year.

Brampton residents are encouraged to participate in a “name the team” contest. For more information, visit
PA Sports Centre Inc., the owner of the Powerade Centre, and Cosmos Sports, the team’s senior management, still need to finalize a formal lease agreement for the professional hockey team to come to Brampton.
