Brampton - Family-friendly events are the theme this summer in Brampton. To kick it all off, spend the day in Downtown Brampton on Saturday, June 16 for the Flower City Parade and the newly expanded Farmers’ Market.

"What a great way to kick off our summer season" said Mayor Fennell. "Our Flower City Parade, shopping for fresh, local produce at the Farmers’ Market, and enjoying the flowers and greenery in Gage Park are fantastic complements to the day. We are very fortunate to have many vibrant downtown spaces that can host our huge roster of community events throughout the summer.”

Brampton Farmers’ Market
7 am – 1 pm | Main Street and Queen Street
New this year: the market expands into Ken Whillans Square and Main Street South, and will host more organic farmers and international food vendors. The downtown core transforms into an outdoor street festival featuring fresh local produce, baked goods and hand-made crafts from more than 50 vendors, as well as live entertainment and family-friendly activities. The market runs every Saturday, rain or shine, from June 16 to October 6.

Flower City Parade
2 pm | Main Street
More than 20 floats covered in bright blooms, festive marching bands, stilt walkers and costumed characters celebrate Brampton’s Flower City heritage. The one-hour parade starts at Main Street and Church Street, ending just south of Gage Park at Frederick Street.

Stay downtown on June 16 to participate in the all-day Yogapalooza event in Gage Park. Cool off in the City Hall Atrium to take in the Brampton Blooms – A Flower Show horticultural and decorative competition from 9 am to 4 pm.

From heritage and community events, to live music, recreation and theatrical productions, there is something for everyone this summer in Brampton.

Regional FireFit Challenge

Firefighters race against the clock in intense individual and team competitions. Fun for the whole family, with a BBQ, music, vendors and more.

Ontario 55+ Summer Games
August 14 – 16 | Various venues
Welcoming more than 1,300 Games participants from across the province.
