Peel - Peel Children’s Safety Village, in partnership with Peel Regional Police and the Ontario Provincial Police, are proud to host the 18th Annual Elmer Safety Recognition Awards.

Peel - Peel Children’s Safety Village, in partnership with Peel Regional Police and the Ontario Provincial Police, are proud to host the 18th Annual Elmer Safety Recognition Awards.

Nominations are now being accepted. Each child in Peel Region, including the communities of Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon, from junior kindergarten through to grade eight, is eligible for an award. Children who assisted their classmates, parents or friends, and have performed at a level beyond expectation, are eligible. Children should be recognized for heroic behaviour, good citizenship, or for an outstanding safety deed, while contributing to a safer community.

As many as ten children will receive an award during the ceremony, which is being held at the Peel Children’s Safety Village on Saturday, May 26, 2012.  All winners will receive a corporate sponsored trophy and a certificate from Peel Regional Police.

The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, April 25, 2012.  If you know of a deserving child that you wish to nominate, please contact Christie Hallett at (905) 453-2121, ext 4071, or by email at admin@peelsafetyvillage.on.ca.
