Brampton – “It’s a great opportunity to put something special in that stocking or as a gift for the whole family -- $15 gets you a ticket to a great game and a good cause,” according to Anne Randell, President and CEO of the William Osler Health System Foundation.

The Hockey Night for Osler event is 7:30 pm January 18 at the Powerade Centre and will raise funds in support of the paediatric services in the Osler hospitals – Brampton Civic and Etobicoke General (Peel Memorial under redevelopment). In addition to seeing a great game – everyone will be eligible to win a hockey stick signed by all the Canadien Alumni playing that night.

Brampton Minor Hockey will add to the entertainment too. The Brampton Minor Hockey teams are selling tickets and the team to sell the most tickets will get to play five minutes against the alumni team. “It will be great fun to see this part of the game and to know it’s about kids helping kids in our local community hospitals,” adds Anne.

Some of the Alumni playing include Stéphane Richer, Sergio Momesso, Claude Lemieux, Karl Dykhuis, Gaston Gingras, Mathieu Dandenault, Norman Dupont, Gilbert Delorme and others.

Also joining to referee the game is well known former NHL referee Ron Wicks, who during his career from 1960 to 1986 refereed 1400 regular season games and 175 playoff games.

Tickets are available through, at the Powerade Centre box office or call the Foundation at 416 494-2120 ext 32167.
