Name - Cystic Fibrosis Canada

Description - Cystic Fibrosis Canada is a non-profit organization that increases awareness, raises money for research programs, and serves as a resource centre for thousands of Canadians who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis.

Title - Volunteer Coordinator

Job Description - The Volunteer Coordinator will develop a strategy to increase, enhance, and retain a volunteer pool, through recruiting campaigns that will raise awareness and provide outreach within the Region of Peel and Halton. The Volunteer Coordinator will participate in training volunteers to assume their roles and ensure that a competant volunteer pool is maintained and that the efforts of all volunteers are recongnized. It is anticipated that this position will carry with it, a Volunteer Coordinator Assistant.

Skills -
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Volunteer management program, or experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Post secondary eduaction
- Microsoft word and Office (including Excel)
- Access to a computer and e-mail
- Self-motivated, energetic, committed and patient

Key Skills:
- Organizational and project management are essential
- Experience dealing with public or community service
- Experience in a non-profit organization is an asset
- Experience in management or Human Resource is an asset

Skills to Learn:
- Develop and gain exposure in the community
- Help raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and an opportunity to make a contribution to a worthwhile cause
- Mentoring opportunities for future leaders
- Opportunity to work and gain experience in order to advance in an area of interest; such as Fundraising, Marketing, and Management in the non-profit sector, etc.

Time - Time requirements are based on personal availability and will be negotiated
