Name - Cystic Fibrosis Canada

Description - Cystic Fibrosis Canada is a non-profit organization that increases awareness, raises money for research programs, and serves as a resource centre for thousands of Canadians who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis.

Title - Publicity and Promotions Coordinator

Job Description - The Publicity and Promotions Coordinator is responsible for managaing the Chapter's efforts to educate the public and raise awareness in the corporate community of both Cystic Fibrosis (CF), and the CF cause through a variety of means. The Coordinator will act as the Chapter's primary contact with the media and those responsibilities that ential all promotional activities. It is anticipated that this position will carry with it, an assistant.

Skills -
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal communications, and written skills (in English)
- Education or experience in Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing
- Access to a computer and e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Self-motivated, proactive, and commited

Key Skills:
- Organizational and project management are essential
- Experience dealing with public or community service, and Corporate Sector
- Experience in non-profit organization is an asset
- Experience using PowerPoint and Access is an asset
- Possession of a drivers licence and a vehicle is an asset

Skills to Learn:
- Develop network and gain exposure in the community
- Experience to add to a resume
- Develop supervisory, communication, and organizational skills
- Help raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, and the opportunity to make a contribution to a worthwhile cause
- Mentoring opportunities for future leaders
- Opportunity to work with a mentor and gain experience in order to advance in an area of interest; such as fundraising, marketing, management in the non-profit sector, etc.

Time - Time requirements are based on personal availability, and will be negotiated.
