Brampton - Brampton author Michael Robert Dyet has been selected to receive an Arts Acclaim Award at the Brampton Citizens Award Ceremony taking place May 11, 2011 at the Rose Theatre, Brampton.

Michael Robert Dyet is the author of UNTIL THE DEEP WATER STILLS: An Internet-enhanced Novel which was a double winner in the Reader Views Literary Awards 2009. Dyet was named Canada East Region Winner and also captured the Writers in the Sky Award for Best Creative Writing of the Year sponsored by Writers in the Sky Creative Writing Services (WITS).

The Reader Views Literary Awards honor writers who self-published or had their books published by a subsidy publisher, small press, university press, or independent book publisher geared for the North American reading audience.

Brampton Citizen's Awards – Arts Acclaim Awards are given to individuals or groups whose involvement in the arts has had a significant impact in terms of achieving provincial, national or international acclaim.

"I am extremely honoured to be recognized by the Brampton Citizens Awards," says Dyet. "Brampton has a rich cultural and arts history and an active Arts Council which supports local artists. I am proud to be included in the prestigious list of past and present award winners"

UNTIL THE DEEP WATER STILLS: An Internet-enhanced Novel is an innovative fusion of a traditional print novel with an optional online companion. The online companion features text, photos and professional quality audio recordings.

Each chapter in the print novel has a corresponding entry in the online companion where the characters find themselves with an online identity. The online companion includes secondary plot lines not found in the print novel.

"Wow! What an ingenious way to write a novel!" says Carol Hoyer, PhD, reviewer for Reader Views. "Author Michael Robert Dyet has included blogs from each of his characters in "Until the Deep Water Stills" to give readers a better perspective and understanding of each character…

"Until the Deep Water Stills was a fascinating read; readers can relate to the characters, their issues and demands. All of us have secrets we keep hidden from others, as do the characters in this book."
