Peel - The Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Peel is currently seeking an office assistant to help with administrative duties. The office assistant will be responsible for assisting with general office duties as required by the Chapter Manager and as outlined below:


- 2-3 days a week (flexible)
- May increase during peak periods


-Assist with general administrative duties
-Answer incoming telephone calls and/or taking messages
-Filing; photocopying
-Collect and develop information binders from written materials
-Follow-up with funeral homes by telephone to ensure they have information pamphlets
-Send out 'Thank You' cards
-Follow up correspondence

-Post-secondary education
-Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Microsoft PowerPoint and Access are an asset
-Experience working for a not-for-profit association an asset
-Familiarity with CCFF goals and principles

-Excellent interpersonal communications and written skills in English
-Pleasant telephone manner
-Administrative experience, such as filing, collecting and printing materials
-Proactive, committed and self-motivated
-Experience dealing with public or community service
-Experience with a not-for-profit association
-Excellent time management and organizational skills
-Able to work with minimal supervision

-Experience to add to resume
-Develop network and make professional connections
-Gain exposure in the community
-Opportunity to make a contribution to a worthwhile cause
-Develop communication and organizational skills and broaden knowledge base
-Help raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis 

TIME: 6 months - 1 year
LOCATION: Brampton/Peel Region
