William Osler Health System has over 800 beds and a health care team of over 4,000 staff, 700 physicians and 1100 volunteers. Osler provides programs and services to 1.3 million area residents in the growing and diverse communities they serve. William Osler Health System has three facilities – Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital and Peel Memorial (currently being redeveloped).

Brampton - For the next 8 months, William Osler Health System will be bringing community health issues to life by engaging members of the public with free health education sessions. Featuring Osler health care experts, these free health education sessions will focus on how to manage, or live with common health issues and conditions.

On November 26, Cooking Healthy: Diabetes and You focuses on how to cook for people living with diabetes, while still enjoying the foods we all love. A second session, Healthy Holidays with Diabetes will provide helpful tips on how to properly manage diabetes during the holidays.

Over the next eight months, these community health education sessions will cover a range of topics for community members, ranging from how to better manage their health, to where and how to seek health advice, to what services are available and how to use these services properly.
