Brampton - Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the Civic Holiday on Monday, Aug. 2, 2010. Region of Peel headquarters and offices will re-open for regular business on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010.

Residents in the cities of Brampton and Mississauga are reminded that there will be no waste collection on Monday, Aug. 2 due to the Civic Holiday. Garbage and recycling (blue box, green bin and yard waste) will be collected one day later for the remainder of the week.

The following is a revised waste collection schedule:

Monday, Aug. 2 collected on Tuesday, Aug. 3

Tuesday, Aug. 3 collected on Wednesday, Aug. 4

Wednesday, Aug. 4 collected on Thursday, Aug. 5

Thursday, Aug. 5 collected on Friday, Aug. 6

Residents in the Town of Caledon are advised that there will be no changes to their waste collection services due to the Civic Holiday. Garbage and recycling (blue box, green bin and yard waste) will be collected on regularly scheduled days.

TransHelp service hours for the Civic Holiday will operate from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Service will be provided by taxi vendors, but not available by bus. Accessible Transportation offices will be closed. Regular office hours and bus service will resume on Tuesday, Aug. 3.

The following services will be closed on Monday, Aug. 2 and will re-open on Tuesday, Aug. 3:

•Peel’s Community Recycling Centres

•Public Health Customer Service Contact Centre (44 Peel Centre Dr.)

•All Peel Public Health Clinics, including Health Sexuality and Breastfeeding Clinics

•Learn.Play.Care. Child Care Centres, Early Learning Services, Children’s Services Operations

•Ontario Works in Peel and Employment Resource Centres

•Peel Access to Housing, Peel Living and Rent Supplement
