BRAMPTON 22 July 2006 - As the sunny Saturday morning began to fade and rain clouds started to cover the sky, it seemed like a long planned barbeque would never see the light of day. However, team Dhillon, persistent in ensuring their constituents were not disappointed, continued to work through the rain during their final preparations at Eldorado Park in Brampton.

As the rain slowly faded away and constituents began to arrive, the barbeque proved to be a huge success. While parents enjoyed a friendly environment and mingled with their local Member of Provincial Parliament for Brampton West - Mississauga Mr. Vic Dhillon, children had the chance to enjoy Rusty the Clown and his amazing magic tricks, face painting and colourful balloons.

This annual event has occurred each summer since Mr. Dhillon has been in office and it has always managed to attract a large friendly crowd. This year, constituents received an added bonus as the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, Honourable Chris Bentley, attended the event and met many of Mr. Dhillon's constituents.

"This is always a great opportunity for me to have interesting conversations with my constituents outside the office and spend some quality time with them" said Mr. Dhillon as he wrote down an issue brought to him by a concerned constituent.

The day ended with the gathering of non-perishable food items for the Knights Table, a local food bank located in Brampton and a speech from Mr. Dhillon who thanked everyone for attending.
