Brampton Sports Hall of Fame Announces Eight New Inductees

Brampton - This year, the City of Brampton will induct eight new members into its Sports Hall of Fame in three separate categories: Athletes, Builders and Veterans. These include:

·  Troy Cordingley, Tiffany Elliot, Ashley Greenhalgh, James Quinn and Chris Terry will be inducted into the Athletes category; 

·  Posthumously, Gary Aikins will be inducted into the Builders category;  

·  Bill Cowie and George Burrows will be inducted into the Builders and Veterans category respectively.

This year's ceremony takes place Wednesday, May 26 at the Pearson Convention Center.  Tickets are $70.00 per person or $630.00 for a table of 10.  Tickets go on sale March 19. For information and tickets call 905-874-2311 or visit http://www.bramptonsports.ca/

The Brampton Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 1979 by a group of dedicated sport enthusiasts, in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department. It is located in the Powerade Centre on Kennedy Road, south of Steeles Avenue.
