ECLYPSE's 10th Anniversary is a milestone for Rapport and the Brampton community. Over the past decade, ECLYPSE has provided direct services to thousands of youth who would otherwise have difficulty accessing services through the more traditional gateways in the social services, education, employment and health sectors. The staff at ECLYPSE are committed to providing a healthy, nonthreatening environment for youth to socialize, learn and participate in constructive and growth enhancing activities. The ECLYPSE team is dedicated to promoting increased collaboration amongst youth serving organizations to strengthen services in the Region of Peel.
On the occasion of this milestone Paul Sherman, Rapport's executive director said, "We are extremely proud of this important achievement in ECLYPSE's history. So many youth have benefited over the past decade from ECLYPSE's services. We are grateful to its past funders such as Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, as well as, the Region of Peel Social Services and the United Way of Peel, the program's current funders."
ECLYPSE is a multi-service youth drop-in centre for 12-24 year olds living in Brampton. The centre provides counselling support, general information, employment services, and volunteer opportunities for youth. A number of local agencies collaborate in the service provision in the centre.
Rapport's mission is to strengthen the social and emotional well-being of youth and families through counselling and related support services. The agency's vision is "Happier Youth, Healthier Communities", as we believe that assisting young persons with their problems has a direct impact on their own well-being and the overall health of their community.
