Peel - Peel Regional Police are turning to the community once again, seeking input from participants involved in a series of workshops to enhance policing and community safety in the Region.
Throughout the month of March 2010, Peel Regional Police will be inviting randomly selected individuals from the community to participate in an open dialogue about community safety and policing priorities for the Region. These individuals will have the opportunity to voice their opinions about current issues and share their ideas about the future of Peel Regional Police.
At the heart of the initiative will be a series of hands-on Discovery Workshops with area residents, business owners, community leaders, elected and civic officials, representatives of the educational, health and justice systems and youth. The goal of these workshops will be to have all our community partners collaboratively work together on a shared vision.
This exciting, ground-breaking initiative reflects the commitment of Peel Regional Police to use the collective wisdom of its community stakeholders to ensure the cities of Mississauga and Brampton remain safe and vibrant places in which to live and work.
The input from this consultation process will be used to develop the 2011-2013 Strategic Plan, and to shape policing strategies for the next few years.
