With Our Special Guests
The Mayfield Singers

Brampton - The City of Brampton Concert Band continues with its 125th Anniversary Concert Series presenting "Christmas at the Rose" at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday December 12, 2009 at the Rose Theatre.  On behalf of our music director, Darryl Eaton, we invite you to join us in our annual celebration of the music of the Christmas season.

You can anticipate a varied and entertaining evening of music rich in the meaning of the season, but that also celebrates this festive time of the year.  Joining us in what has become a wonderful tradition are the voices of the Mayfield Singers, from Mayfield Secondary School under the direction of Jennifer Hewitt.  They will perform with the band in what is always a fitting and beautiful combination of voice and wind ensemble, as well as be featured in a number of solo pieces.  The evening will feature some new selections, and you can always expect the traditional favourites.   To close the concert we can think of no better way than to have the audience join in a sing-a-long with the band and choir!

Our Christmas concert is becoming a Brampton tradition and we look forward to seeing you there!

Our 125th Anniversary concert series closes with "2010 A Space Odyssey" on March 6th, 2010, as we explore the realms of space through the world of music.  Tickets may be purchased at the Rose Theatre or Lester B. Pearson box offices or by calling 905‑874-2800.  They are also available at the Harmsworth Decorating Centre at 24 Main Street South.  Free parking is available below the Rose Theatre at the intersection of Theatre Lane and Union Street.Ticket prices are Adults $20, Seniors and Students $18 and Children 12 and under $10.  For more information on our other concerts in the 2009/2010 series please visit our website, and for the Rose Theatre.
