Brampton - The Brampton Downtown Development Corporation (BDDC) is once again pleased to sponsor the annual carriage ride program during the holiday season. Individuals and families are encouraged to complement their visit to one of our restaurants, art galleries, shops, Gage Park or the Rose Theatre by taking a tour of the picturesque heritage attractions of Downtown Brampton by a horse-drawn carriage ride. This promises to be a wonderful outdoor activity for all ages!

As part of the City's Annual Tree Lighting celebrations on November 20, there will be a one large tram pulled by two horses and two carriages for the public's enjoyment. The following scheduled evenings will have one or two horse-drawn carriages.

Carriage rides will operate from 6pm to 10pm on: November 20, 27 and 28, December 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 19, 23 and 24. The rides begin and end on Wellington Street across from Gage Park at a cost of $15 for a party of 4.

A number of restaurants will be offering coupons or gift certificates to each group of riders to encourage them to enjoy a taste of Downtown Brampton. They are Mount Vesuvio's Ristorante at 91 George Street South, Nexus Exceptional Dining & Piano Bar at 35 Main Street North, West 48 at 48 Queen Street West and Lisboa Bakery and Grillhouse at 131 Main Street North.
