Brampton - Investigators from the Homicide Bureau have made a fourth arrest in relation to the murder of a 38 year-old Brampton resident, George KALOGERAKIS

Shortly after 1:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 12, 2009, officers were called to a residence located on Earth Star Trail. On their arrival, officers found the victim suffering from obvious signs of trauma. He was immediately taken, by ambulance, to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Daniel COLACITO, a 36 year-old resident of Thornhill, was arrested, without incident, at his residence. He will be appearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton today, where he will be charged with First Degree Murder.

Investigators would like to thank officers from York Regional Police and members of the public, for their assistance in this arrest.

Investigators are continuing to search for a 17 year-old male with no fixed address. The 17 year-old male is wanted for First Degree Murder.

The 17 year-old maile is described as a black male, 5' 7" tall, weighing 160 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He continues to defy his family's wishes to turn himself in to the authorities. Peel Police strongly urge the 17 year-old male to seek out a lawyer and attend at the nearest police facility.

The 17 year-old male should be considered armed and extremely dangerous, and should not be approached by members of the public. Anyone who comes into contact with him, or anyone who knows of his whereabouts, should contact police immediately.

To date, the following arrests have been made in this investigation:

  • On Wednesday, November 18, 2009, investigators arrested Shevon BAILEY, a 21 year-old male, and a 15 year-old male, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act; and,
  • On Saturday, November 14, 2009, investigators arrested Isaac KWAKYE, an 18 year-old male.

All three of these suspects were charged with First Degree Murder.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information on this matter, to contact them at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205. Anonymous information may also be submitted to Peel Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by visiting http://www.peelcrimestoppers.ca/, or by texting "PEEL", followed by your tip, to CRIMES (274637).
