Mississauga - Peel Regional Police homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in Mississauga, which has left one person dead.
On Sunday, June 28, 2009, at 1:39 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired at a house party on Monica Drive in the Malton community of Mississauga.
Upon arrival, one male victim was discovered suffering from an undisclosed number of gunshot wounds.He was rushed to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has since been identified as Nicarno Anthony WRIGHT, a 22 year-old male from Brampton.
Investigators believe that the house party was well attended and that several attendees fled prior to police arrival.Investigators are urging those people to contact them, whether or not they believe they have any information to offer.
