Brampton - Detectives with Peel Regional Police's Homicide Bureau have made two more arrests in the 2006 shooting homicide of Mervyn SPENCE.

On Saturday, November 4, 2006, shortly after 4:00 a.m., police responded to a 911 call at 2565 Steeles Avenue East in Brampton.  Upon arrival, the victim was located in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

On Wednesday, June 17, 2009, after an extensive investigation, members of the Homicide Bureau arrested and charged Courtney BENJAMIN, a 42 year-old man from Toronto, with First Degree Murder. Officers also arrested and charged Anthony CAMPBELL, a 38 year-old man from Toronto, with Accessory After The Fact To Murder.

BENJAMIN and CAMPBELL are both scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Wednesday, June 17, 2009.
