Brampton - Nine local bands, including Keepin 6 and Saint Alivia, will come together to bring epilepsy and seizure disorders centre stage at Black & Purple Fest on June 26, 2009 at West 7 Nightclub & Lounge in Norval, Ontario. All proceeds from the all-ages event will support Epilepsy Halton Peel.
"Epilepsy affects more than 20,000 people in Halton and Peel alone," explains Tahverlee Dunlop, executive director at Epilepsy Halton Peel. "Youth living with epilepsy often feel isolated and judged by their peers as a result of their seizures. Black & Purple Fest will bring individuals of all ages together for a night of great music, all while increasing public understanding of epilepsy."
The event will kick off at 3:30 p.m. with rockers from across Southern Ontario, including:
