New Indian Visa and Consular Services Centre in Brampton

Toronto - Consulate General of India in Toronto is pleased to announce the opening of new Indian Visa and Consular Services Centre in Toronto and Brampton with effect from May 22, 2009.  

 These centres, managed by M/s VF Services (Canada) on behalf of the Consulate, will accept applications for Visa, Passport, Consular, Person of India Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI). Applications will now be received and dispatched in person/by mail/by courier through these centres.   The applications will continue to be processed and decided by the Consulate General of India.

These centres open from 0800 am to 0230 pm and 0330 pm to 0700 pm, Monday through Saturday, will be located at

Toronto

The stipulated fee for various services [except OCI] and and other charges   may  be paid by Credit Card/Debit Card /Money Order/Bank Draft/Cash. However, the prescribed fee for OCI must be paid only in U.S. Dollars [payable in Toronto] by Bank Draft/Money Order in favour of Consulate General of India, Toronto.

With the establishment of these service centres, effective May 22, 2009, applications for visa, consular, passport, PIO and OCI services will  NOT  be  received at the Consulate General of India office at 365, Bloor Street (E), Toronto .

    I was delighted upon knowing that two new centres for handling activities of indian consulate office were opened in may 2009. It is a great relief and I hope that passport / visa work will be done in stipulated time.
