William Osler Health Centre has approximately 730 beds and a health care team of over 4,000 staff, 700 physicians and 900 volunteers. As a regional referral centre, Osler provides programs and services to nearly one million area residents. Our faculties offer acute and ancillary health care in the growing and diverse communities of Etobicoke and Brampton, Ontario, Canada. William Osler Health Centre is growing with the opening of the newest facility – the 1.3 million square foot Brampton Civic Hospital on October 28, 2007. Major renovations to the Etobicoke General Hospital and redevelopment of the Peel Memorial Hospital are also planned.

Brampton - International comedy sensation and 2009 Juno host Russell Peters will bring his 20th Anniversary Tour to Brampton's Powerade Centre on Saturday, September 26, making a special stop in his hometown to benefit William Osler Health Centre Foundation.
Peters, who still has strong ties to Brampton, added the venue to a Canadian tour that already includes two sold-out appearances at the Air Canada Centre.His September 26 show will raise funds for Brampton Civic Hospital in honour of Peters' late father and as a tribute to better health care in the community that some of his family members still call home.
The event has already begun to attract a great deal of attention since its recent posting on www.russellpeters.com.The Foundation regularly offers signature golf and gala experiences, but according to Colette Thomson, Director, Community Giving, "Normally, at this time of year, people call us to talk about our golf event but over the last couple of days, our phones are ringing non-stop for details on the Russell Peters show."
