Family Night In

Peel - In a twist on the original Family Day concept, Peel Children's Aid Foundation is urging families in Peel to "stay in" for the evening on Monday, February 16.
The first annual "Family Night In" encourages families to spend the evening at home, as a low cost, low tech way to reconnect with family members, share a meal and play a board game or enjoy another activity.
"Family Night In" also seeks online donations from families and individuals, with proceeds going to provide families in the care of Peel Children's Aid with essential items such as groceries, diapers and toiletries.
"Family Night In" is sponsored by Pizza Pizza, a company with a long-standing tradition of supporting community programs and bringing people together with food.
"'Family Night In" is a great way to make the most of Family Day while helping families who live in poverty in our community," says Catherine Hinton, Executive Director, Peel Children's Aid Foundation. "We urge every family to turn Family Day into "Family Night In" by enjoying a fun activity and making a donation."
It's easy to participate. By visiting the Foundation's web site at www.peelkidsfoundation.com, families can donate online, get an activity sheet, post their own creative tips and upload photos of their best "Family Night In" moments.
Everyone who shares their stories and photos online is automatically entered into a draw to win one of 10 prize packages from Pizza Pizza and other sponsors.
"We're delighted to work with Peel Children's Aid Foundation on the first 'Family Night In' in Peel," says Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer, Pizza Pizza. "We have a shared commitment to bringing families together – and pizza is definitely a favourite food for families across Canada." Peel Children's Aid Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of abused, neglected and at-risk children and youth in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon who are under the supervision of Peel Children's Aid.
