Brampton - Next week, thousands of sparkling lights will brighten up Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park. On Wednesday, December 3, from 6 – 9 pm, the park will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland.
The visual feast will feature beautiful Christmas trees decorated by local elementary schools and stunning jumbo postcards decorated by local high schools. Free activities for the entire family include cookie decorating, a craft station, horse and carriage rides, and live entertainment. Free hot chocolate, marshmallow roasting and a BBQ will also be provided while quantities last.
The Winter Wonderland is part of the WinterLights celebrations. The city will be once again under the spotlight, as the judges for the annual competition will be attending this event. WinterLights is the continuation of the Communities in Bloom summer event. As with the summer celebrations, the City and community partners are planning a series of events and activities. Residents are encouraged to get out into the community, get involved, be active and celebrate the winter season.
