Orangeville, Ontario Jun 15, 2006 - Extensive renovations continue, new golf clubhouse and 5,000 square foot marquis tents announced for the 2007 golf season

Hockley Valley Resort continues to revitalize and renovate its 104-room year-round Resort, just 45 minutes north of Toronto.

Owned by Nancy Adamo, one of Canada's Top Women Entrepreneurs (PROFIT W100), Hockley Valley Resort offers a year-round solution to conference goers and leisure travelers alike. Complete with an 8,000 sq.ft. European Spa added in 2001, a Championship 18-hole golf course, 14 ski runs and over 11,000 sq.ft. of conference space all situated on over 300 acres of breathtaking scenery, the Resort is an icon in the Hills of Headwaters.

Room renovations began in early 2006 and the 5th floor of the tower portion of the Resort is now complete. The 5th floor boasts spectacular Red Alderwood floors, Wormy Maple beds, armoires and desks, and double-pillow top mattresses dressed with crisp white linens ensure guests enjoy a blissful sleep. Room renovations will be completed one floor at a time and will be complete by the Spring of 2007.

"Especially exciting for us," says Rajeev Khanduja, General Manager, "is the addition of a long-awaited clubhouse. Our guests have been telling us that as spectacular as the course is, they want a separate building for dining, pro shop and lockers. We are thrilled to announce this new building which is scheduled to open at the beginning of the 2007 golf season. The clubhouse will feature a clock tower visible from the Resort and the golf course, a lounge, change rooms and showers, ceremony room, multiple walkouts to patios overlooking the 18th hole, a gazebo and marquis tents.

Our wedding business has grown exponentially, and because we're approaching hosting 100 weddings a year, while we were in the planning stages for the clubhouse we added two marquis tents (totalling 5,000 square feet) to accommodate the increase in demand for summer weddings. Wedding ceremonies for up to 200 people and sit-down dinner service for 350 people are easily accommodated in the new clubhouse. Complete with its own state-of-the-art kitchen, our new golf clubhouse will be well-equipped to handle the increase in summer social events."
