A new name, a new logo, the same fun

Brampton - Solid Choice Services, a company that specializes in helping French Immersion students improve their French language skills, has changed its name to "Fun avec French" to better reflect the services it offers. The new company has a new logo, look and feel but is still focused on improving skills through practice with fun.

Fun avec French designs, develops and markets French programs that help students improve their French language skills while having fun in an active learning environment.

The programs for children Grades SK to Grades 4 operate in Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville. The 10-week program is offered three times in the school year - fall, winter and spring for Grades 1-4. During the summer there is also a Senior Kindergarten program to prepare children for Grade 1 French Immersion.

"We are excited about our new name and logo. Solid Choice Services has served us well but we thought it was important to brand our company in a way that helped our customers instantly recognize what we are about," says French Facilitator Lisa Gallant. The name 'Fun avec French' embraces the two key elements of the programs we provide – fun and French."

"We believe that French language skills are an asset that you can improve through practice; if you have fun you'll want to continue practicing; and the more you practice, the more natural it becomes."

Gallant says all programs provide the opportunity to practice French skills and have an element of fun built into the activities and/or themes. Moreover, the company has redesigned its website, now located at www.funavecfrench.com to make it more interactive and more fun for kids.

"Our new website provides activities that are supported in the classroom environment. It also has information for parents about our programs and allows online registration."

To launch the new name, Gallant says a celebration is planned in all three communities. There will be fun for kids and parents alike with École des Clowns as well as games and puzzles including refreshments and a special ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Fall Programs run on Tuesdays at the Brampton Civic Centre in the Music Room (October 7th to December 9th); Saturdays at Mississauga Central Library, Room CL3 (October 4th to December 13th, excluding October 11th) and Mondays at Glen Abbey Community Centre, Room C (October 6th to December 15th, excluding October 13th).
