  Krista Johnson Wins First Place
with "Savoir Qui Je Suis"

Brampton, ON, July 10, 2008 – Recently, Eagle Plains Public School was presented with a collection of French books as a result of one of their students winning in the 2008 French Idol Charity Event.

Krista Johnson won first place in the song competition with her beautiful interpretation of "Savoir qui je suis".  Many will recognize this song as "I Gotta Go My Own Way" from High School Musical 2.  Mme Lisa Gallant, of Solid Choice Services, had the opportunity to present the books to Krista at the school's final award assembly on June 25th.

Two other students from Eagle Plains Public School, Gabriella Escobar, and Oshai South also participated in the 2008 French Idol Charity Event.  The event, hosted by Solid Choice Services, raised $557 and 188 pounds of non-perishable food items for Foodpath, Mississauga's largest food bank.  The students were told that the food collected could be compared to approximately 90 bags of sugar.
