Telecare Distress Centre, a non-profit community based organization in the Region of Peel that provides free, anonymous, confidental listening and emotional support and community referrals to individuals experiencing isolation, depression, suicidal thoughts, abuse, addictions, grief, frustration or having difficulty coping in life. Peel - Telecare Distress Centre is a non-profit community based organization in the Region of Peel that provides 24 hour crisis support to individuals.  Mandarin / Cantonese speaking volunteers are need for the crisis lines. 

Peel - We are a non-profit community based organization in the Region of Peel that provides 24-hour crisis and listening/emotional support to individuals experiencing loneliness, depression, suicidal thoughts, abuse, addictions, grief or just having difficulty coping in life.

Are you…
- At least 21 years old
- Fluent in English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese
- Willing to complete the 50-hour training course and on-going training sessions

Able to commit a minimum of 12 hours per month for one year

Caring and non-judgmental listener
