Brampton - Brampton City Hall will remain closed on Victoria Day, Monday May 19.  As a result, a number of City services will be unavailable or will operate under reduced service levels.  Brampton Transit will provide statutory holiday service on Monday May 19.

Brampton City Hall will remain closed on Victoria Day, Monday May 19. As a result, a number of City services will be unavailable or will operate under reduced service levels.

City Hall, the Small Business Enterprise Centre and the City's Parks and Recreation Office will also be closed. Residents will not be able to apply in person for marriage licences, pay parking fines, apply for employment with the City of Brampton or apply for building permits during this time. Business registration services will not be available during the holiday. For online options please visit www.brampton.ca

Several services will continue to operate at normal levels including: Fire and Emergency Services, City of Brampton works yards and By-law Enforcement. For more information on all City of Brampton service changes and closures please call 905-874-2000 or visit www.brampton.ca

Transit Service
Brampton Transit will provide statutory holiday service on Monday May 19, which will include the Route 66 to Canada's Wonderland. However, the administration office and all Transit concessions will be closed. Brampton Transit's Victoria Day Weekend Service will be as follows:

May 16, Friday: Regular Weekday Service

May 17, Saturday: Regular Saturday Service

May 18, Sunday: Regular Sunday Service

May 19, Monday: Sunday/Holiday Service

Fireworks safety
Residents are reminded that while Victoria Day is one of the four days during the year when the setting off of consumer fireworks is permitted, they can only be used on residential properties with a frontage width greater than 18 metres (60 feet). Fireworks are strictly prohibited on school property, in parks and on any City Property including roadways and sidewalks. A copy of the City's Fireworks bylaw can be found at www.brampton.ca/bylaws
