Brampton - The City of Brampton is hosting a number fun and family events for Victoria Day celebrations. From sports to rides to entertainment, residents and visitors have a lot to choose from.

Brampton - The City of Brampton is hosting a number fun and family events for Victoria Day celebrations. From sports to rides to entertainment, residents and visitors have a lot to choose from.

Extreme Wheels Competition
Extreme Wheels Competitions takes place at the new flagship concrete skatepark in Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park over the Victoria Day weekend. Held in cooperation with West49, from Saturday May 17 until Monday May 19, skateboarders, BMX riders and inline skaters will test their skills and compete in a variety of challenges to win great prizes. The schedule for the competition is:

May 17 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m: Skateboard competition. Test skills in the bowl, ride the rails, attack a 10 set of stairs.

May 18 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m: BMX competition. Test skills in the bowl, a 5' high flat bank, the cool Flying Saucer.

May 19 – 11 a.m. – 5 p.m: Inline competition. Take on the hubba ledges, rails and planter boxes.

Skateboard and BMX demonstrations will also be held on May 19. All competitions will run weather permitting and helmets are mandatory. A signed waiver/registration form must be completed (participants under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian signature). Registration fee for each: $5.00

Campbell Amusements
Another fun event, Campbell Amusements, will also be held at the Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park from May 15 -19, 2008. Visitors can enjoy many rides, games and food. There will be no fireworks this year. Event times are:

May 15 - 16: 3 p.m. – 10 p.m.

May 17 - 18: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.

May 19 : 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
