BramptonThe Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau has charged the man they believe is responsible for the double stabbing at a Brampton mall last week that claimed the lives of Nazifa and Rahimullah SHAHGHASY.

Dwayne Robert PALMER, a 28 year old male from Brampton, has been charged with two counts of second degree murder.He has been remanded into custody at the hospital.Once his condition improves, a court date will be set for his appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

The province's Special Investigations Unit has invoked their mandate and the Peel Regional Police will not be providing any further information until their investigation is complete.

The victim's family has asked the media, to once again respect their right to privacy in their time of grieving.

    I am appalled that the people who are victims of crime and their survivors are not compensated. The children of this couple, who did not have insurance, will now lose their home in addition to losing their parents. Is there not someone in office who could step in on their behalf to assist them?
