Press releases from Toronto Police Services, Halton Regional Police Service, London Police Service, Durham Regional Police Service, York Regional Police, Ottawa Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Special Investigations Unit (SIU). The investigation revealed that on March 7, 2007 the victim was kidnapped from the Brampton area by a group of individuals and driven to a remote area on the 4th Line of Oro. At that location Mr. CHAMBERS was shot execution style and died from his injuries.
The investigation is being conducted under the direction of Detective Inspector Scott Naylor of CIB.
On April 30, 2008, as a result of a year long investigation, the OPP arrested 4 individuals and charged them with the following in relation to the abduction and murder of Jonathan CHAMBERS:
- Tafari WILLIAMS, 28 years, of Brampton Ontario, First Degree Murder
- Terrance WALKER, 27 years, of Toronto Ontario, First Degree Murder
- Gregory MILLAR, 31 years, of Mississauga Ontario, First Degree Murder
- Andrew TURNER, 30 years, of Brampton Ontario, Conspiracy to Kidnap
The OPP obtained a warrant to arrest a fifth and sixth person in relation to this case. Lenworth Anthony SPENCE, 28 years, of no fixed address, is wanted for First Degree Murder and Robert HENRY, 30 years of Brampton Ontario is wanted for Conspiracy to Kidnap.

The remaining four people arrested in relation to this case have been remanded into custody at the Ontario Court of Justice, 114 Worsley Street, Barrie, Ontario.
