Peel, ON – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police would like to warn homeowners about break and enters that have been occurring within the Region of Peel.

The suspect(s), who are between the ages of 13-23, have been targeting homes primarily during business hours. The suspect(s) attend the front door of a residence, ring the door bell repeatedly and sometimes resort to knocking very loudly. Once the occupant answers the door, the suspect will usually ask for a "friend", sometimes by name. The suspect(s) will often appear nervous or startled if confronted and run from the residence.

If an occupant does not answer the door, the suspect(s) will often "kick in" the front door and enter the residence. The suspect(s) are usually looking for cash and valuables including jewellery and electronics.

Anyone with information regarding these types of crimes is asked to contact any Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453-2121, or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS/8477.
