Brampton - Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating an early morning shooting. 

On Friday, April 11, 2008, at approximately 6:40 a.m., it is alleged that two vehicles were travelling southbound on Goreway Drive towards Queen Street, when shots were fired from the suspect vehicle. The victim was a passenger in the other vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and police were called.

Upon arrival, officers located a 19 year old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where his injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with any information regarding this matter is asked to contact the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121 ext.2133, or information can be given anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
