Brampton - Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel on Friday, May 2, 2008 for a gourmet lunch, unique networking opportunities, a magnificent silent auction and an afternoon filled with humour, energy and wit as they welcome Luba Goy from the Royal Canadian Air Farce as their keynote speaker.The luncheon will take place on May 2nd from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the elegant Mississauga Convention Centre and will be an afternoon you won't soon forget.
Best known for her hilarious parodies of Queen Elizabeth II, Sheila Copps and other famous females, Luba Goy is one of the best known faces in Canadian comedy.Her outstanding career has included many personal achievements including the Governor General's Performing Arts Award, 15 Actras, a Juno, a star on Canada's Walk of Fame and two honorary doctorate degrees.
Tickets for the Women of Peel Luncheon are $75 per person or $1,500 for a Corporate Table of 8. By supporting this fantastic fundraiser you will be assisting in "Building Brighter Futures" for the children in your community.During this past year Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel was able to provide quality mentoring programs to 1,250 children.There are however 300 children who are still waiting for a mentor and they need your support.By participating in the Women of Peel Luncheon you will be helping to provide mentors for these children to assist them to grow into healthy, confident adults.
