Masons Partner with Canadian Blood Services to Save Lives
Masons encourage residents to make 2008 the year to donate.
Brampton - Canadian Blood Services and the Masons Ionic Lodge #229 are inviting the community to donate blood and save lives by attending a special clinic on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Brampton Masonic Lodge, 955 Clark Blvd, Brampton from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Every unit of blood collected can save up to three lives and with weather and poor health impacting blood collections recently, the Masons hope that the community of Brampton will respond by making their upcoming clinic a success.
Mason's blood donor clinic organizer, Tony Bashford, knows the need for blood first hand as blood transfusions have saved his life twice. He also became involved in assisting with the voluntary blood system at an early age as he delivered plasma to local hospitals in England when he was 16 years old during World War II.
Prospective donors are encouraged to call 1-888-2-DONATE to book an appointment to donate. First time donors ages 17 to 61 are always welcome.
