Brampton - The (8 and 1) Brampton Bulldog Peewee fall team defeated the (7 and 2) Brantford Bisons on Sunday to win the SOFAL Football Championship. Although the Bisons won the turnover battle 2 to 1, the Bulldogs won on the strength of three big plays converted into touchdowns. Even through Brampton, was plagued by penalties, missed scoring opportunities, and dropped balls. The team rallied together and came out on top.

Our first official game got underway on the 25th of August in Guelph.  We were optimistic about the upcoming season and leapt into our first game with only two practices under our belts.

In the initial meeting between the Bulldogs and the Bisons and despite a heavy downpour, we were victorious.  We defeated the Brantford Bisons by a single point (9 to 8) with less than one second remaining in the game.  This initial victory created a friendly rivalry that lasted all season and saw both teams gearing up for a fantastic finish.

We handily defeated all the other opponents by outscoring them 203 to 61 points during the regular season.  During the playoffs we out scored our opponents 57 to 22 including the final win over the Bisons 17 to 8.

With an above average coaching staff and awesome athletes we are very proud to bring the trophy to home to Brampton.  Many thanks goes out to the coaching staff, the team and all the parents that support them.

Congratulations DAWGS!
