New Location for Peel French Immersion
Students to Practice French
Brampton, September 13, 2007 - Solid Choice Services announced today that their Brampton French programs, French Club and Amuse-Vocabulaire, will now be housed in the Music Room of the Brampton Civic Centre. The Brampton location has served customers from Belfountain, Brampton, Caledon, Georgetown and Mississauga. "We're glad that our new fixed location is in the same building as the Chinguacousy Library. It will provide our students with an opportunity to borrow French books on a regular basis", said Mrs. Lisa Gallant, French Facilitator & Program Designer.
Ten session programs, held on Tuesday evenings, will be offered out of the Brampton Civic Centre beginning on October 9, 2007. These programs are geared to French Immersion students in grade 1 to grade 4. Parents can opt to register their children either online or at one of the two In Person Registrations for Peel Region:
1) Tuesday, September 25, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Brampton Civic Centre, Music Room; or 2) Wednesday, September 26, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Mississauga Central Library, Classroom CL2. Peel students can also chose to register for programs that Solid Choice Services' runs out of Mississauga, Georgetown, or Oakville. Details about the Program Calendar.
Solid Choice Services has been offering programs to French Immersion students from Peel Region since 2005. They specialize in helping students improve their French language skills through practice with fun. "Our goal is to ensure that the kids speak in French and have fun in every one of our sessions", said Mrs. Gallant. The success of their French programs can be seen in customer feedback. Vanessa, the parent of one of their grade 1 students, recently said, "Prior to my son attending the programs, he had little or no knowledge of the language. Within the period that he has been in the programs, his confidence level has increased immensely and he has become very good in French and participates fully in class. He even became the student of the month, I believe partly as a result of the programs that Solid Choice Services provide. Thank you so much for these programs."
