Brampton - Every year, thousands of Ontarians take the leap. With high hopes and unbridled enthusiasm, they launch their own businesses and enter the challenging and potentially rewarding world of entrepreneurship. The Brampton Small Business Enterprise Centre would like to recognize those small business owners in the City of Brampton who have prepared thoroughly for their venture and are seeing success with their business ideas with the 2007 Start-Up Business of the Year Award.
The purpose of the awards is:
·To bring recognition from City of Brampton to new small business owners who have prepared thoroughly for their venture.
·To generate media attention for participating small businesses for promotional/public relations purposes.
·To generate media attention for the competition, participants, sponsors & Brampton Small Business Enterprise Centre and its partners.
·To promote the support the services that the Enterprise Centre offers to aspiring small business owners.
·To encourage more participation in the "Emerging Business" category of BOBOAs
Applicant Criteria:
·Launched in 2006 or 2007
·Brampton-based (home office, commercial or industrial location)
·Not a franchise or purchased business (from a previous owner)
·10 or fewer employees
·Brampton Small Business Enterprise Centre client
Submission Requirements:
October 1, 4:30 p.m. deadline
